How it Works (Jobseekers)

If looking for a job is like a full-time job then you should get paid to search, right? At HireWorth this simple concept is the sole reason we exist. When you are looking for a job on our site you have the opportunity to make money by successfully referring a friend, family member, or colleague to one of the jobs listed on our site.

You can passively earn rewards. If you find a job opening that is not a perfect match for yourself, but know someone that might offer a perfect match then rather than applying for the job you can refer it on.

You can actively earn rewards. This is your opportunity to show off your enormous circle of friends by referring a job opening to your address book and encouraging them to pass it along. The chance that they too might profit from finding a match for the job will help your referral chain grow!

One caution. If you mass refer an opening you might run the risk of dropping out of the money. Each successful referral will only pay the 5 members immediately prior to the hire. More focused referrals will ensure you earn a larger share of the posted reward. You can keep an eye on your share of the reward as it is referred on by logging into your employee page. You can also see what your referred members have done with the posting (applied, referred, or no action).



How it Works (Employers)

Register, post your opening, select your reward then sit back and watch our member network find your dream candidate.

When you select your reward amount the HireWorth fees will be automatically added to arrive at the total investment for hiring one of our members. Upon hiring a HireWorth member the reward amount will be due on or before your new hire's first day. We take your satisfaction one step further by offering a 60-day guarantee period. If the employment situation does not work out in the fist 60 days we will refund the reward and nothing more will be owed. Proof of employee termination may be required. Once the new hire reaches day 61 the remaining money is owed and must be paid online using a credit card.

Jobseeker's FAQ's

Q. Can I stop referrals from being sent to me?
A. Absolutely. Simply click here and enter your email address to be blocked from all referrals coming from our site.

Q. What happens if several members refer the same job to me?
A. If you are hired the referral message the prompted your application will earn the reward. The member(s) of that referral chain will receive the reward. Congratulations on the new job!

Q. Why can't I get the reward if hired without a referral?
A. The job should be reward enough. By only paying rewards to successful referrals we limit the number of applications that employers receive to only those that will offer the best fit. If we paid rewards as signing bonuses then employers would be spammed with resumes just like on every other job web site. We are different.

Q. How many people can I refer?
A. As many as you would like. However, please be mindful that only the 5 members immediately preceding the hire will share the reward. The more focused your referral(s) are the more money you can earn.

Q. How can you avoid stale listing and work from home offers?
A. Other job websites do not care about the jobseeker. They will allow anyone to post jobs to their sites as long as they pay. We only allow employers we invite to post jobs on our site. All employers may request an invitation, but not all employers will be permitted to join. Our job listings must be renewed every two weeks. The key to always fresh job listing is if a job is filled then it will automatically expire, if it is still available then the employer will renew.

Q. What happens if the employer does not pay HireWorth.com?
A. We only permit the most reputable employers to use this site. The best employers, with the best jobs will limit the number of deadbeats. Unfortunately this could still happen. If we do not get paid then we will not be able to pay the reward. The deadbeat employer will be denied access to the site, be turned over for collection, and/or sued. If we recover the money then we will pay you the reward you earned.

Q. Does HireWorth.com pay my tax?
A. Nope. When a successful referral is made we will contact you to obtain your social security number as if you are an employee of HireWorth, Inc. Your reward check will reflect the full reward you are entitled to and at the end of the year a 1099 tax form will be sent to the address we have on file. It is your responsibility to report your HireWorth.com earnings.

Q. Can I split the reward with my friend?
A.When you receive the reward you can do anything that you would like with the money. Split it with a friend, donate it to your favorite charity, give it to your dog - it is yours.

Q. What if my friend gets someone else to refer them?
A.Tricky. This scenario has been examined and there is really no way we will ever know. Ignorance is bliss in this case. The way we see it, the employers post the reward fully expecting to pay it.



Employer's FAQ's

Q. How can you guarantee the most qualified hire every time?
A. Easy. If after interviewing a candidate provided by our site you do not think they are worth the fees you selected, then don't hire them. If they are perfect and are absolutely worth the fees you selected, then hire them. You decide the fees. You decide to hire.

Q. Because the site offers money, won't I get lots of applicants who are unsuitable?
A. Not at all. The rewards are only paid for a successful referral. We only pay the 5 members immediately prior to the hire. By placing this limit on the payout we promote focused referrals and guarantee the most qualified candidates.

Q. What size of reward should I offer?
A. Only you can decide that. Think about how much money hiring a recruiting firm would cost. How difficult is this position to fill? Then remember, you do not pay if we do not provide the hire. The larger the reward the more enticing it will be to our members and the harder they will work to find your perfect hire.

Q. What happens if the candidate leaves after the guarantee period?
A. The 60-day guarantee period is so important. It is during this time frame that you will decide whether-or-not the employment situation is going to work out. Take this time seriously because after the guarantee period is up, we will not refund any money paid, and payment must be made in full.

Q. Why can't you bill us after a candidate has worked for the guarantee period?
A. We require only the reward amount to be paid when the referee starts. We will hold this money to be paid to the referring member(s) as soon as the guarantee period expires. If the hire leaves during the guarantee period then the reward money will be returned and nothing else is owed. If the new hire stays then the remaining HireWorth fees are to be paid in full.

Q. Is there any tax or legal issues paying rewards?
A. No way. You are paying us our fees and we are accepting the tax liabilities for paying our members the reward. This is the best employee referral program in existence.

Q. Why do I have to request an invitation?
A. Our service is not right for all companies. Our members hold us to a higher standard regarding the jobs we allow on our site. Most companies that request an invitation will be permitted to join.

Q. Why do I have to renew my posting every two weeks?
A. Again, we feel that our members deserve the best - and fresh jobs are the best jobs. We also realize that your schedule is very busy and you might not have time to remove your job listings as soon as they are filled. By sending an expiration notice every two weeks, and by making renewing your posting a simple process, we can guarantee the freshest jobs for our members.
